ACCOMMODATION

There is a range of options for accommodation in close proximity to the conference venue or further afield, to suit your needs and budget. The options that we have reserved in advance include rooms in New College and in the Waynflete Building.

Participants preferring to arrange their own accommodation will find options available through platforms such as AirbnbBooking.comUniversity Rooms and Speedybooker

When registration for the conference opens in late January or February 2024, we will provide further information together with a booking system for the rooms we have reserved.

New College

Don’t be fooled by its name! New College Oxford is one of the oldest of the Oxford colleges,  founded in 1379. It is only a few minutes’ walk from the conference venue. The impressive architecture of New College is a stunning blend of Gothic and Renaissance styles, with intricately carved stone facades, soaring spires, and a majestic (and magical) quadrangle that contains the famous Cloisters where Harry Potter was filmed!

Those staying here will have access to the magnificent chapel, private landscaped gardens, and shared communal areas which date back to the founding of the college. Breakfast will be provided in the historical, grand dining room.

Accommodation includes single and double rooms, most with en-suite facilities, in the historical college building. All rooms include breakfast in the sumptuous dining room, wi-fi, hospitality trays, fridges, linen, towels and toiletries.

Waynflete Building

The building is named after William of Waynflete, who founded Magdalen College in 1458.

It is also a short walk from the conference venue. The Waynflete building is a student accommodation block which is next to the Magdalen college grounds and river.

The rooms are single occupancy with a washbasin, fridge, shared bathroom facilities and wifi access.

It is possible to have breakfast in Magdalen College for an additional charge.
